Day by day itinerary

Day 1

Start with a bus at 7:00 AM from Puerto Natales to the park entrance. From there, you can either begin hiking towards Central or take a transfer to the Welcome Center (this service is paid on-site). Continue the journey to Camp Serón, enjoying the spectacular views, lenga forests, and rivers that mark the start of this amazing circuit. The route to Serón is known for its scenic beauty and tranquility.

Day 2

On the second day, you will head to Camp Dickson, where you’ll find stunning views of Lake Dickson and the surrounding glaciers. This section immerses you in landscapes surrounded by ice-covered mountains, forests, and rivers, offering an unforgettable trekking experience.

Day 3

On the third day, you’ll hike towards Camping Los Perros. This section of the trail is adorned with beautiful landscapes, and you’ll be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings as you venture deeper into the park’s wildest areas. Here, you’ll spend the night, preparing for one of the most challenging days of the circuit.

Day 4

The fourth day will be one of the most thrilling, as you cross the famous John Gardner Pass, the highest point on the O Circuit, where you'll witness breathtaking views of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Afterward, you'll descend toward Refugio Grey. Upon arrival, you can relax and enjoy the stunning environment.

Day 5

After a night at Refugio Grey, you’ll set off toward Paine Grande, walking along the stunning landscapes bordering the lake. This section will allow you to enjoy views of the mountains, the lake, and, if you're lucky, you may spot condors soaring over the valleys. You'll arrive at Paine Grande to spend the night.

Day 6

From Paine Grande, you’ll hike to the Británico Lookout, one of the park’s most spectacular viewpoints. Here, you can admire the sharp mountain peaks and hanging glaciers. Tip: You can leave your backpack at Camp Italiano to lighten your load during the hike. After finishing the hike, you’ll return to stay at either Francés or Cuernos.

Day 7

On the penultimate day, you’ll follow a trail that traces the contour of Lake Nordenskjöld, enjoying the scenic beauty as you head to your accommodation at Torres Central or Refugio Chileno. This section is less demanding, allowing you to appreciate the local flora and fauna.

Day 8

The grand finale! On your last day, you’ll encounter the awe-inspiring Torres del Paine, a natural spectacle that will leave you speechless. If you choose to stay at Chileno, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the sunrise over the Torres, a magical moment to remember. Finally, you’ll return to Torres Central, where you’ll take a transfer from the Welcome Center to Laguna Amarga and then the bus back to Puerto Natales, concluding this unforgettable experience in one of the most beautiful national parks in the world.
